Meet at 7:30 am (depart at 7:45) at the Park-and-Ride on the south side of Bell Rd., just west of I-17.

This is an easy 4X4 run with occasional stops, photo ops, and short side trips where we visit the tiny village of Cherry, which has a frontier cemetery and historic buildings. We will park and observe a world famous hang glider launch pad with spectacular views overlooking the Verde Valley and Mingus Mountain Lake.

4X4 is not required but a high clearance vehicle should be utilized for these maintained forest roads. We'll travel approx. 26 miles and gain approx. 3100 feet. The 2014 run had quite a surprise with a black bear running across the road in front of Sally & Larry!

Fill up the tank and come out for a fun time taking up most of the day.

We plan to stop on the return for libations and food at Taqueria Guadalajara Mexican restaurant in Prescott Valley.

The adventure will be canceled if the weather or roads are bad. Call Leaders to sign up and with any questions regarding vehicle suitability, room for riders, etc.

Bring sunscreen, hat, boots, plenty of water, snacks and $$ for carpool. Children, well behaved outdoor dogs are welcome.

Cost to non-members is $5. Guests and new members should contact the hike leader prior to the outing.
