E-mail hike leader for meeting time and location if you’re interested in this hike at least two days before the hike.

Abineau-Bear Jaw Loop is located north of Flagstaff and on the north side of the San Francisco Peaks. Getting to the trailhead involves taking forest roads and a high-clearance vehicle is strongly recommended. We will head out on the Abineau trail (steepest part) and meet the longer, fairly easy Bear Jaw trail to finish. If there’s sufficient interest, the hike is on unless there are possible closures due to fire or storms. Bring sturdy hiking boots, sunscreen, hat, snacks, plenty of water, and $ for carpool. We’ll probably eat in Flagstaff before coming home. Cost to non-members is $5.
