C- LENGTH: 3 to 5.6 mi ELEV GAIN: 350 to 600 ft PACE: Slow

Meet at 8:00 am (depart at 8:15) at the Park-and-Ride on the south side of Bell Rd., just west of I-17.

One of the newest preserves, this Sonoran Preserve trail system offers fresh trails and new trailheads. From the trailhead, we will begin at the Sidewinder Trail, hike up to the Apache Vista Trail, and return on the Sidewinder Trail. This is a casual event with many photo opportunities.  There will be 360-degree views and heavy desert vegetation on these well groomed trails in Phoenix’s newest preserve.

Varied length in miles depends on Larry’s recovering knees – some may want to go all the way.

Bring sunscreen, hat, boots, plenty of water, snacks, and $ for carpool. Children and well behaved outdoor dogs are welcome.

Cost to non-members is $5. Guests and new members should contact hike leader prior to the hike.  AzOTC members need not call ahead.
