Meet at 6:00 am (depart at 6:15) at Wendy’s on Shea in Fountain Hills. Because this hike involves a car shuttle, participants must sign up in advance by calling one of the leaders no later than Wednesday, September 25th.

We'll carpool to the north trailhead on Route 87 near the Blue Ridge Reservoir, then shuttle back to the south trailhead on FR 300. From there, we’ll start hiking northward from the top of the Mogollon Rim, past the General Springs Cabin on the Fred Haught Trail, through meadows and forests of the Coconino National Forest on well-marked trails and sections of two-track road. We’ll cross the canyon of East Clear Creek, then drop into the Blue Ridge Campground near our final destination. Bring plenty of water, lunch, snacks, electrolytes and sturdy hiking boots. We’ll be stopping for dinner in Payson on our return trip. Cost to non-members is $5.
