Meet at 7:30 am (depart at 7:45) at the Park-and-Ride on the southwest side of Bell Rd., just west of I-17.

This is an easy 4X4 run with occasional stops, photo ops, and short side trips including one down an historic road to visit Palace Station stage stop.

4X4 is not required, but a high clearance vehicle will be necessary for the rocky central 10-mile section that has possible water crossings. I did the pre-run July 7th and it was dry and passable.

Fill up the tank and come out for a fun time taking up most of the day. We plan to visit downtown Prescott’s courthouse square for libations, food and the Mountain Artists Guild’s 64th Annual Fine Art & Crafts Festival on August 8th and 9th. This juried festival is free and open to the public, and it’s not just cowboy art. The Festival showcases a wide range of fine art and the work of a select group of artisans and crafters on the grass under the many tall trees that shade the historic Courthouse Plaza in downtown Prescott.

The adventure will be canceled if the weather or roads are bad. AzOTC members need not call ahead; however, non-members should always call the leader in advance. You can call or email leader with any questions regarding vehicle suitability, room for riders, etc.

Bring sunscreen, hat, boots, plenty of water, snacks and $$ for carpool. Children and well behaved outdoor dogs are welcome. Cost to non-members is $5.
