Call or email Les if you're interested in this hike and to discuss meeting place and transportation plans. A volunteer would be appreciated to meet hikers in the Valley. The group will meet Les in Flagstaff.

Bear Jaw-Abineau Jaw Loop is located north of Flagstaff on the north side of the San Francisco Peaks and is a high-country classic that takes us to slightly over 10,400'. There are breath-taking views as well as dense, old-growth forests that make this a very special 'Peaks" hike.

Getting to the trailhead involves taking forest roads and a high-clearance vehicle is strongly recommended.

If there is sufficient interest, the hike is on unless there are closures due to fire or storms.

Bring sturdy hiking boots, sunscreen, hat, snacks, plenty of water, and $ for carpool. We'll probably eat in Flagstaff before coming home. Cost to non-members is $5.
