Meet at 6:45 am (depart at 7:00) at Fry's Electronics on Baseline just west of I-10. Park in the northeast corner of Fry's parking lot.

We will carpool to Geronimo Trailhead at South Mountain (S. 20th St. and Dobbins Rd). This is a double lariat route taking us over the South Mountain Ridgeline at Buena Vista two times!. We'll have great views of valley landmarks from all directions and we’ll take a side trip into a petroglyph canyon.

We will start at the Heard Boy Scout Camp on the Geronimo Trail loop. Midway through the hike be prepared to hike up and down on the Corona de Loma trail then up again on the Old Man trail. The Old Man trail is 1100 feet of steep "up" in 1.2 miles. There is no shade on this trail so be prepared for the heat and elevation gain with adequate water and sunscreen. No children or pets please. Cost to non-members is $5.
