Canyonlands National Park, Utah, Needles District

We will be camping at the Needles Outpost, which is located just outside the park boundary off state road 211, about 78 miles south of Moab. The Group campsite accommodates pop-up or small trailers, tents, or car camping. I have also reserved four pull-through sites for full size trailers. There are no other lodging options that do not involve insurmountable logistical problems.

Trip price is estimated at $45-65/person. Hot showers are extra and are available for $3/shower.

The trip includes 5 nights camping and everyone will be asked to contribute to a pot-luck. The club may provide burgers/brats for a cook-out.

Hikes will vary from C to A. Hikes B and above will involve slick rock scrambling, ladder climbing, and minimal exposure (falling risk).

This is peak flower season and we will visit all the major attractions in the Needles.
