C LENGTH: 2.4 mi ELEV GAIN: 900 ft PACE: Medium

Meet at 6 am (depart 6:15) at the CVS Pharmacy on the NW corner of Brown & Ellsworth Roads in Mesa (exit off the 202 Freeway and drive east on Brown Rd.). Email me for trailhead directions if you'd rather meet at the trailhead parking area.

Get your buns out of bed early and join me on a short mountain trail that you've probably never heard of before. This mountain trail is just north of Usery Mountain Regional Park and is named EJ Peak or Lone Mountain, depending on what map you're looking at. The trail is surprisingly very well maintained. From the top, you can see Fountain Hills, Pass Mt., Four Peaks, the Supes, Red Mt., Camelback Mt., the nearby Lower Salt River, and other familiar landmarks. If temps cooperate, we can explore more trails. Choose your own pace and we can wander as far as you want.

Bring sunscreen and plenty of water. Please check the website or email the leader in case the hike is canceled due to rain. Cost to non-members is $5.
