Meet at 6:45 am (depart at 7:00) on the south side of the Kohl's parking lot, one block south of the 202 San Tan Freeway at the Arizona Ave exit.

This is an undulating desert hike in the Rincon Mountain foothills below Tanque Verde Ridge. We'll top out at about 4500'. Classic Sonoran landscape and MacDougal's cactus are found here as well as expansive views of the Rincon Mountains. The Quilter Trail portion of this hike is exploratory since this new trail was constructed in 2012 to connect to the Arizona Trail.
