Meet at 9 am at the Humphreys trailhead on Snowbowl Road (FR 516) in Flagstaff. Join us for Flagstaff’s premier hike which climbs steeply through an alpine forest streaked with huge rock slides and avalanche tracks. Scenic Hart Prairie stretches out at the base of the incline. Hikers may either turnaround at the saddle connecting the Humphreys and Agassiz peaks, or scramble up the steep rocky trail to the peak’s summit. From start to finish, the views are spectacular. Bring sunscreen, hat, boots, plenty of water, snacks, and lunch. Cost to non-members is $5. Guests and new members should contact the hike leader prior to the hike. AzOTC members need not call ahead.
