Meet at 6:30 am (depart 6:45) at the SE side of Denny’s parking lot, just west of the Bell Rd. and I-17 Park-and-Ride. This is a classic, and sure to be challenging, outing that provides spectacular views and an opportunity to escape the heat in the Valley. Option to hike to the summit of Arizona's highest peak, if the weather is suitable for an additional 1.5 miles and ~850 ft in elevation gain. Bring sunscreen, hat, at least 3 liters of water, lunch or snacks, rain gear, a jacket or sweatshirt in case the wind is blowing and it is chilly, and $ for carpool. Please check the website or call the leaders on Friday, August 1st in case the hike is canceled due to weather or forest fire. Cost to non-members is $5.
