B LENGTH: ~10 mi ELEV GAIN: 1900 ft PACE:Medium

Meet at 6:30 am (depart 6:45) at the Park-and-Ride just east of Denny’s, SW corner of I-17 and Bell Rd.

This scenic trail is an 1890's livestock trail that goes to the top of Secret Mountain and the Mogollon Rim. Views of redrock country get better the higher up you go, but hikers will have the option of turning around anytime they want. The last mile switchbacks up steeply for 1000 feet.

We might stop to eat in Cottonwood after the hike, depending on the wishes of the group.

Bring sunscreen, plenty of water, snacks, lunch, and $ for carpool. Wear hiking boots and bring rain gear.

Cost to non-members is $5. Non-members and members who’ve not hiked with Don in the past must call first.
