Architecture of the Desert  with Jacques Giard

The fauna of the Sonoran Desert – its mammals, birds, reptiles and insects – has developed an architecture appropriate for its survival.  This presentation will look at several examples of this particular type of architecture and provide lessons for all of us as we humans continue to building in the desert.  Who knows, perhaps the animals can teach us a few lessons.

Presented by Jacques Giard. PhD, Professor of Design at Arizona State University and Master Steward of the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy.

Scottsdale Mustang Library Auditorium - located at 10101 N. 90th St. in Scottsdale
Classes start at 5:30 pm and run between 60 and 90 minutes
