Meet at 7:15 am (depart at 7:30) at Wendy's in Fountain Hills - on Shea Blvd. just west of Highway 87 (Beeline Hwy).

Starting with a spectacular view at the trailhead above Apache Lake, the views get even better as we ascend Reavis Ranch Trail to Windy Pass at elevation of 5,100 feet. Along the way, we’ll admire expansive views of the Four Peaks, peaks in both eastern and western areas of the Superstition Range, the Matazal wilderness, and Fish Creek Canyon.

After stopping for lunch at the pass, we’ll return on the same route. Wildflowers should be abundant, so bring your camera.

Wear sunscreen, sturdy hiking boots, and a hat. Bring cash for the carpool, a rain jacket, lunch, snacks, and at least 2 liters of water. No dogs or children.

Driving the last half-mile to the trailhead requires 4WD. So there are enough suitable vehicles for the carpool, please bring your 4WD vehicle to the meeting location.

Cost to non-members is $5. Guests and new members should contact the hike leader prior to the hike.
