Meet at the entrance to the Canyon Vista Campground at 9 am.

Join this easy day hike (5.5 miles in-and-out) in the cool pines. There's some stunning pink cliffs, huge talus field, open meadows, and spooky caves.

From the Phoenix area, take I-17 North to the point where I-40, I-17, and Highway 89A meet. Then take the Lake Mary Road exit and head south. Go 5.6 miles on this road to the Canyon Vista Campground turn on your left. You'll need to park at the entrance of the campground, as there is no parking at the trailhead. Once you've parked, take the short walk through the campground to the signed trailhead.

Join this easy day hike in the cool pines.

Bring sunscreen, hat, boots, plenty of water, and snacks. Children, well behaved outdoor dogs are welcome.

Cost to non-members is $5. Guests and new members should contact the hike leader prior to the hike. AzOTC members need not call ahead. I’ll have my cell phone on if there are any issues: 480-321-7249.
