Call hike leader for the early meeting time at the Gateway Center to the McDowell Sonoran Preserve on the Thompson Peak Parkway.

On this fast-paced exercise hike, we’ll follow the Gateway Loop, Windgate, and Tom's Thumb Trails on our way to Tom’s Thumb, one of the most scenic and well-known landmarks in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. The trail is in-and-out and in excellent condition, so anyone wishing to shorten the hike can do so easily.

Bring plenty of water, electrolytes and snacks, and wear sturdy hiking boots. Cost to non-members is $5.
