Because of forecast rain in Sedona, this event has been REPLACED with the Tom's Thumb Loop hike described below

Meet at 7:45 am (begin hiking at 8:00) at the Gateway Access Area to the McDowell Sonoran Preserve on Thompson Peak Parkway in north Scottsdale. (Call either leader if you need driving directions to Gateway.)

The hike will involve a loop to Tom's Thumb, a landmark destination in the McDowell Mountains, via the Bell Pass and East End Trails, with a return via the Tom's Thumb and Windgate Pass Trails. Wear sturdy hiking boots, have rain gear (just in case), sunscreen, and bring 2-3 quarts of water and snacks.

Cost to non-members is $5.
