Meet at 7:15 am (depart at 7:30) at the Park-and-Ride on the south side of Bell Rd., just west of I-17. We will carpool to the V bar V Heritage site, located alongside Beaver Creek. This is the largest known petroglyph site in the Verde Valley, as well as being one of the best preserved. After this 1 mile in & out, we will regroup at the Beaver Creek picnic area and do a 3 to 4 mile hike on the Lawrence Tank Trail. Afterwards, a stop at La Fonda Mexican Restaurant in Camp Verde for libations and lunch is scheduled. Bring sunscreen, hat, boots, plenty of water, snacks and $ for carpool. If you have them, bring your Red Rock Pass or a Senior National Parks Pass for the visit to the petroglyphs site. Cost to non-members is $5.
