"Missed The Turn Mark" - mnashley@yahoo.com, 602-725-4993
A- LENGTH: 6-10 mi ELEV GAIN: 1200 ft PACE: Medium

Contact the leader by 8 pm the Friday before the hike or I will wander elsewhere.

Hike length will depend on preference of participants. We will drop into the Juniper and Oak on our way to Oak Spring and beyond. The descent on Trail 16 makes returning a nightmare, but the views are worth coming this way. Once down we will take a jog to the left on Trail 251 for a piece and then head out of this canyon network to Hardscrabble Road. At this point, we will cut crosscountry, heading east and southeast to link back up with our route near a tank.

Warning: the cross-country part has plenty of trip opportunities. If you have weak ankles or knees, this is not your hike. Once done, I am thinking that a late lunch in Payson will be in order.

Be prepared for spring conditions in Payson...Bring sunscreen, hat, boots, plenty of water, snacks and $$ for carpool. Non-members - $5 fee and always call the hike leader before the hike.
