Text, email or telephone the leader by the day before the hike to let her know that you’re interested in hiking and your preference for length, start time and difficulty of hike. The leader will then put together a route that takes those interests into account and let you know where and when to meet. Hikes will be offered all Wednesdays that the leader is in town.

South Mountain Park, the largest city park in the world, has nearly 17,000 acres and about 58 miles of trails ranging in length from 1 mile to 15.5 miles. There are more than 10 different trails, many of which intersect and can be connected to make a great variety of hikes.

Well behaved, leashed dogs are welcome. Bring plenty of water, electrolytes and snacks, and wear sturdy hiking boots.

Cost to non-members is $5.
