Join me for a leisurely loop hike around Woods Canyon Lake on the Mogollon Rim. We'll hike around the lake on a well maintained trail with just a few hills. Along the way, we'll come to an area that's closed, as it is an eagle nesting sight, although I've yet to be able to find the nests. Maybe you can help me with that!

We'll be in the ponderosa pines on the east side of the lake, hiking along the columbines and wild roses on the north, and we can watch the fisherman line up on the west side of the lake trying to catch trout.

This is a relatively easy hike with great views. Pack a lunch and we can sit at a picnic table by the lake after the hike while watching the kayaks, paddleboards, and canoes paddle around in the water.

Bring a minimum 2 quarts of water, salty snacks, and wear sturdy hiking shoes/boots. Hiking poles may be helpful on the few hills.

Cost to non-members is $5.
