C- LENGTH: 3.5 mi ELEV GAIN: 400 ft PACE: Slow

Meet at 8:30 am (depart at 8:45) behind Denny’s, just west of the Park-and-Ride on the south side of Bell Road and I-17.

This is a casual hike on one of Lake Pleasant’s newest trails (opened November 2014) and with some of the most stunning scenery and overlooks of any trail in the park. You will be able to take occasional stops for views or photo ops. The in-and-out trail is well groomed with most of the climbing on the final 1/4 mile as it narrows down and has several switchbacks.

We plan to stop on the return for libations and food at Wild Horse West Restaurant, 8400 W. Carefree Highway.

The adventure will be canceled if the weather is bad. Bring sunscreen, hat, boots, plenty of water, snacks and $$ for carpool. $6 per vehicle county park entrance fee. Children and well behaved outdoor dogs are welcome. Cost to non-members is $5. Guests and new members should contact the hike leader prior to the hike. Members not required to call.
