Arizona Outdoor & Travel Club

Arizona Outdoor and Travel Club (AzOTC) is a Phoenix-based, non-profit Arizona hiking club that also organizes Phoenix biking, camping in Arizona, and 4X4 off-road trips.  The club membership is open to all adults, single or married. Both family and individual memberships allow dependent children to participate in many of the activities.  Hiking in Arizona, biking in Phoenix, and Arizona 4x4 offroad and camping trips offer some of the best outdoor Arizona wilderness and city recreation experiences in the country.  Join us in experiencing the glorious Arizona wilderness and outdoors.

Have you ever encountered a bear while on a hike in the wilderness? What did you do? What should you have done? Join Tom Hron, a former flying floatplane and helicopter pilot in Alaska and Canada who learned about bear safety the hard way. Hear stories about Bush pilots and big game guides who had their airplanes, campsites and rafts destroyed by bears, motivating him to invent and patent a warning system. Learn why making noise and wearing bells does not scare bears away. This is one presentation you really don't want to miss.
